A cyclonic circulation is present over the Maldives and the nearby Equatorial Indian Ocean at lower tropospheric levels. A trough extends this circulation towards the southeast Arabian Sea at the same altitude. The Cyclonic Circulation over the South Bangladesh persists above mean sea level. Moderate rains, along with lightning and thunderstorms, is possible over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe. Light to moderate rainfall with a few heavy spells at a few places accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 2-3 days. Dense to very dense fog is forecast for isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, north Rajasthan, north Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar during the late night and early morning hours.
