Rice Market Report - No Pressure from New Stock

The supply of fine paddy from the Kharif season in Haryana and Punjab is not favorable, causing prices to remain high. The expected increase in daily paddy arrivals is not occurring as anticipated. Due to high milling costs, rice prices have increased significantly. The recent removal of the minimum export price (MEP) on Basmati varieties has supported exports. In Haryana, the price of 1509 paddy has increased to ₹2950-₹3150 per quintal over the past 4-5 days. In Punjab, prices are ranging between ₹3000-₹3200 per quintal for the 1509 variety. Narela - Najafgarh Mandi: The paddy arrival here is around 200,000-250,000 bags. International Market: Despite the pressure from the Kharif paddy season, high prices in the international market may cause the market to decline further. Current Stock: For rice mills and traders, current stock levels at present prices remain profitable.
