A well-marked low-pressure area lies over the west-central Bay of Bengal and is likely to move west-southwestwards, reaching the southwest Bay of Bengal near the Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts by tomorrow. Under its influence, light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy spells is expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the next 2-3 days, while light to moderate rainfall is likely over Coastal Odisha for the next 1-2 days. Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into the west-central and southwest Bay of Bengal, along and off the coasts of Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, until Thursday morning. The Western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation in middle tropospheric levels over central parts of Afghanistan. Under its influence, Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall likely at a few places over Western Himalayan Region and light isolated rainfall at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan during next 2-3 days. Another intense Western Disturbance is very likely to affect Northwest India from the night of thursday onwards. Under its influence, an induced cyclonic circulation very likely to form over southwest Rajasthan & neighbourhood on friday. These systems likely to interact with lower levels easterlies leading to high moisture feeding from Arabian Sea as well as Bay of Bengal till saturday. Under the influence of these systems: Isolated to Scattered Rainfall to Snowfall is likely over Western Himalayan Region during next 3-4 days with peak activity on friday and saturday. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall also likely over plains of northwest India and adjoining central India on friday, Maharashtra and Gujarat on saturday. Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions very likely in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu-Kashmir during next 2-3 days. Dense fog conditions very likely to prevail during late night and early morning hours in Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Jharkhand during next 2-3 days. Ground Frost conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand by today and Himachal Pradesh during next 2-3 days.
