Cold Wave to Prevail Over Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh.
Two Western Disturbances in quick succession are likely to affect Western Himalayan Region one from tomorrow & second from Saturday. Under their influence, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall activity likely over Western Himalayan region and isolated to scattered rainfall over adjoining plains from tomorrow for next 2-3 days. Light to moderate rainfall very likely at a few places with heavy spell over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and over Kerala during next 2-3 days. Maximum temperatures are likely to remain near or above normal across India, though the northern plains will experience below-normal highs for a few days. Minimum temperatures, on the other hand, will stay above to well above normal across the country during this period. Dense to very dense fog is forecast to persist across northern portions of India, stretching from North India through Central India into East India during the projection period. Cold Wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
