Due to a decrease in demand for maize in recent days, prices have dropped by 125-150 rupees per quintal, with maize now priced around 2500/2600 rupees per quintal in Haryana and Punjab. In producer markets, prices have fallen to 2300/2350 rupees per quintal. However, there has been an increase in demand for rank-quality maize at these prices, and reports indicate that four ranks will be loaded from the Linga line within a week. Given these conditions, a slight recovery in maize prices is expected.
