Unstable Weather Ahead: Thunderstorms & Lightning Expected in Eastern India.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region from Sunday . Under its influence; Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are expected over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh from Sunday for two days, while Uttarakhand will experience similar conditions starting Tuesday. A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam & neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) likely over Bihar with thunderstorm and lightning over West Bengal and Sikkim for next days. Strong surface winds (25-35 kmph gusting to 45 kmph) likely to prevail over the plains of northwest India including Delhi during next 24 hours. Maximum temperatures will remain steady for the next 24 hours before gradually rising by 4-6°C. In Central India (except Vidarbha), no significant change is expected for the next two days, followed by a gradual increase of 3-4°C. Vidarbha will see a slight dip of 2-3°C over the next two days, with temperatures then rising gradually by 3-5°C. East India will experience stable maximum temperatures for the next three days, followed by a gradual rise of about 2°C. In Northeast India, temperatures are expected to increase gradually by 2-3°C over the next 2-3 days, with no significant changes thereafter. Maximum temperatures will remain steady over Maharashtra, Telangana, and North Interior Karnataka for the next two days, followed by a gradual rise of 2-3°C. In Gujarat, no significant change is expected over the next 24 hours, with temperatures gradually increasing by 3-5°C thereafter. Meanwhile, South India (excluding Telangana and North Interior Karnataka) will see stable maximum temperatures for the next five days.
