A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayan region in two days. As a result, light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are likely over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during this period and continue for next the two days, with similar conditions expected in Uttarakhand from Monday onward. A trough extends across the region, with a cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam in the lower tropospheric levels. Under their influence, light rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning, are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Nagaland. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph), is likely over Bihar and Sikkim for the next two days. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 3-5°C is expected over Northwest, Central India, and Gujarat during the next 3-4 days. In East India, no significant change is anticipated for the next day, followed by a gradual increase of 2-3°C. Meanwhile, Maharashtra is likely to witness a temperature rise of 2-4°C over the next 3-4 days. Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail over Goa, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Coastal Karnataka for the next two days, while similar conditions are likely over the Gujarat region after two days.
