A low-pressure area, along with its associated cyclonic circulation, lies over the west-central Bay of Bengal and is expected to move north-northeastwards, gradually weakening over the central Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours. A trough extends from this cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal down to south Tamil Nadu. Another trough runs from southeast Madhya Pradesh to eastern Gangetic West Bengal, passing through Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation is present over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph), is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, and Central India until tomorrow. Similar weather conditions are expected to persist across East and Northeast India for the next three days. Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and Meghalaya are likely to witness heavy rainfall over the next two days, while Jharkhand may experience hailstorms during this period. A Western Disturbance is currently active as a trough in the westerlies at mid-tropospheric levels. Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation persists over West Rajasthan and adjoining areas, while a trough extends from West Rajasthan to northwest Vidarbha at lower tropospheric levels. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) is likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh till tomorrow, while Uttarakhand is expected to see similar conditions for next two days. Hailstorms are expected over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Dust storms are likely at isolated places in West Rajasthan, while thundersqualls with wind speeds of 50–60 kmph are expected at isolated locations in Uttarakhand till tomorrow.
