An upper air cyclonic circulation is currently observed over West Rajasthan, with four additional systems located over the central part of south Madhya Pradesh, the Gulf of Mannar, the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu, and West Assam. A trough extends from the cyclonic circulation over the central part of south Madhya Pradesh to south Gangetic West Bengal, while a second trough stretches from the same system to South Interior Karnataka, both in the lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of these systems: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph), is likely over Northeast and East India during the next five days. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to receive heavy rainfall tomorrow, while Assam and Meghalaya may also experience similar heavy spells through tomorrow. Isolated to scattered rain, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph), is likely over the plains of Central India and Maharashtra today. Thundersqualls with wind speeds reaching 50–60 kmph are very likely at isolated places over Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal from tomorrow and the following day. Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) are expected over Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha during the next two days. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph), is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka during the next four days. Meanwhile, Kerala may experience similar conditions with gusty winds reaching 40–50 kmph over the next two days. A fresh Western Disturbance, currently seen as a cyclonic circulation in the middle and upper tropospheric levels over Iraq, is likely to move eastwards and impact the Western Himalayan Region starting today and continuing for the next four days. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph), along with isolated hailstorms, are likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand after two days, continuing for the following two days. Isolated rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph), is likely over the adjoining plains of northwest India during this period. Additionally, isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are expected over West Rajasthan today, and over East Rajasthan tomorrow. Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are very likely over Rajasthan during the next two days, while Gujarat may experience heat wave conditions until tomorrow. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Coastal Karnataka today, while Maharashtra may experience similar conditions from tomorrow and continue for the next two days.
