Under the influence of a Western Disturbance and an upper air cyclonic circulation located over central Pakistan and adjoining northwest Rajasthan. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph), is very likely over Jammu & Kashmir today, with a gradual reduction in intensity thereafter. A north–south trough is extending from central Assam to Tripura. A second trough runs from central Pakistan and adjoining northwest Rajasthan to the central parts of Bangladesh, while a third trough extends from northeast Madhya Pradesh to the Gulf of Mannar. Under the influence of these systems: Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph), is likely over Northeast India during the next five days. Similar weather conditions are expected over East India and Chhattisgarh for the next three days. Additionally, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya during the next two days. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph, gusting up to 50 kmph), is likely over Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Telangana during the next five days. Additionally, lightning activity is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, and Coastal Karnataka during this period. Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over South Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh from tomorrow and continue for the following two days. Similar conditions are expected over Rajasthan and Haryana after two days and will persist for the subsequent two days. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next two days, and over Gujarat State from tomorrow for the next two days.
