Advancement of Southwest Monsoon: The Southwest Monsoon is set to advance into the South Andaman Sea, parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal, and the Nicobar Islands by tomorrow. Over the next 4–5 days, it is expected to expand further, reaching areas of the south Arabian Sea, Maldives, and Comorin region. Additionally, it is likely to spread across more portions of the South Bay of Bengal, the whole Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Andaman Sea, as well as sections of the central Bay of Bengal. Northwest India is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall today, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph, with gusts up to 60 kmph. These conditions are likely to affect Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and northeast Rajasthan. West India is expected to witness light to moderate rainfall over the next few days, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Wind speeds of 40-50 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 60 kmph, are likely over Madhya Maharashtra during the next three days. Meanwhile, Goa may experience winds reaching 30-40 kmph, with gusts up to 50 kmph tomorrow, while Gujarat State is expected to see similar conditions today.
