Northwest India is expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall over the next few days, with Uttarakhand and East Rajasthan likely to experience wet conditions for the next five days. Meanwhile, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh are forecasted to see rainfall activity over the next three days. A low-pressure system currently situated over Gangetic West Bengal and its surrounding areas is accompanied by a cyclonic circulation that extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level. This system is expected to gradually shift west-northwestwards, impacting regions across Jharkhand and northern Chhattisgarh over the next two days. East and Central India are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall, with heavy showers likely to persist over Madhya Pradesh for the next 4–5 days. Chhattisgarh will see similar rainfall patterns over the next two days, while Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha are likely to witness these conditions until tomorrow. A trough now extends from the northeast Arabian Sea to the low-pressure area situated over Gangetic West Bengal and its vicinity. This feature spans across southern Gujarat, northern Maharashtra, central Chhattisgarh, and northern Odisha, and lies at an altitude between 3.1 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level. West India is likely to see light to moderate rainfall at isolated locations across Konkan & Goa and the ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra over the next seven days. Meanwhile, heavier showers are expected to develop over Saurashtra and Kutch after three to four days, marking a more intense spell for those areas. South Peninsular India is expected to experience moderate rainfall over the coming days, with particularly heavy spells forecasted in Coastal Karnataka and Kerala through the next 4–5 days. Telangana will see rainfall continue until tomorrow. Additionally, strong surface winds with speeds reaching 40–50 kmph are likely to persist across the region for the next five days.
