Decline in Sesame Arrivals - Fall in Prices
Mumbai: According to trade sources, despite a decrease in domestic production due to imports over the past two years, there has been no rise in sesame prices. This is primarily due to the lack of stockists and farmers not selling their produce at lower prices. The continuous supply of sesame during the Kharif, Rabi, and summer seasons has resulted in a price drop when supply increases, even during periods of weak supply.
