Monsoon Update: Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Likely Across North India Till July 11, Says BKC Weathersys
According to the latest weather outlook issued by BKC Weathersys, the southwest monsoon is expected to remain active across large parts of North India between July 6 and July 11, bringing widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds to several states. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to witness widespread rainfall throughout the forecast period. Heavy rainfall is expected over Himachal Pradesh on July 5 and July 8�11, while very heavy rainfall is likely on July 6�7. Uttarakhand is expected to receive heavy rainfall during July 7�11, with very heavy rainfall forecast on July 5�6. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to experience scattered rainfall on July 5�6 and July 10, followed by widespread rainfall on July 7�9 and July 11. Heavy rainfall is expected across these regions during July 6�9 and July 11. In West Uttar Pradesh, scattered rainfall is likely during July 5�8, while East Uttar Pradesh is expected to receive rainfall during July 5�7. Rainfall activity is forecast to intensify, becoming widespread over West Uttar Pradesh during July 9�11 and East Uttar Pradesh during July 8�11. Heavy rainfall is likely over West Uttar Pradesh during July 9�11 and East Uttar Pradesh during July 8�9, with very heavy rainfall possible over East Uttar Pradesh on July 10�11. Rajasthan will also remain under the influence of active monsoon conditions. West Rajasthan is expected to receive scattered rainfall throughout July 5�11, while East Rajasthan is likely to witness rainfall on July 5 and July 11, with widespread rainfall during July 6�10. Heavy rainfall is forecast over West Rajasthan on July 7�8 and East Rajasthan on July 5 and July 11. Very heavy rainfall is also likely over East Rajasthan during July 6�10. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40�50 km/h, gusting up to 60 km/h, are likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad throughout July 5�11. Similar thunderstorm activity is expected over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on July 5, while East and West Rajasthan are likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds throughout the forecast period. Uttarakhand is also expected to witness thunderstorms during July 5�11, while East and West Uttar Pradesh may experience thunderstorm activity between July 6�8.
