Cyclone Bulbul weakened, moderate rainfall in North- east

Cyclone Bulbul has weakened further into a depression. It was persisted over Southeast Bangladesh and adjoining south Tripura at 5:30 hours, 11 November. It is likely to move in east/northeast direction and likely to further weaken into a Low-Pressure area during next six hours. Under its influence, light to moderate rainfall at many places very likely over south Assam & Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram during next 24 hours. Minimum temperature very likely to fall over northwest & adjoining central India by 2-4°C during next 2-3 days. In Assam undertake harvesting of mature rice and dry properly and store in safe place. Undertake land preparation for sowing of wheat and lentil. Undertake sowing of rapeseed, mustard, rajmah and vegaetables like tomato and chilli, after current spells of heavy rain. In Aman rice in Tripura, drain out excess water from the field and don’t allow water till harvesting of crop. In bitter gourd, parwal keep the field weed free.

Squally wind, speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph, prevailing around the system center and neighborhood. It will decrease becoming 20-30 kmph gusting to 40 kmph over southeast Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura & Mizoram during next 06 hours. In sali/ kharif rice in Meghalaya, field should be drained properly to remove the excess soil moisture by constructing drainage channel around plots. Rice crop should be harvested keeping 20 cm stubbles in field & field may be kept ready for next crop.

In Haryana, after harvesting of rice, undertake field preparation for sowing of wheat, In Marathwada, continue harvesting of matured cotton, and soybean. In East Rajasthan, continue sowing of mustard, pea, garlic, lentil and planting of potato. Undertake field preparation for sowing of wheat. In West Rajasthan, continue harvesting of groundnut, cotton and sowing of gram, mustard. In Madhya Pradesh, undertake field preparation for sowing of wheat. Undertake sowing of chick pea, mustard and pea.
