The Western Disturbance as a trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level now runs roughly along Long. 60.0°E to the north of Lat. 20.0°N. This is likely to affect Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains from the night of 25th November.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated places also likely over Tamil nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next 48 hours. . In Tamil nadu, due to prevailing wet weather from past few days; flower shedding in cotton may take place,to control spray Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) @ 40 ppm (40 mg / liter of water)after current spells of heavy rain. Provide propping in sugarcane and adequate support to the banana to prevent lodging due to wind.
