Cold wave to prevail over Punjab & Haryana, light rain over south and North- East India

Under the influence of Western Himalayan Disturbances rain/snow projected over in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand region during 11 to 13 February. While Uttrakhand likely to receive light rain and snow during the same period. Meanwhile northern plains regions projected to remain dry. In Uttarakhand, undertake harvesting of carrot and potato crop. Undertake land preparation for sowing of bottle gourd and cucumber.

Cold wave conditions / isolated rain and thundershower likely to prevail over in isolated parts of Punjab and Haryana on February whilst entire Northwest India likely to remain dry. Temperature may rise by 2-3 degree Celsius in plains of Northwest and central India throughout the week. In Punjab, undertake sowing of spring maize and planting of sugarcane.
