Western disturbance will cause rainfall in northwest India, Central India will remain dry.
The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation lies over eastern parts Kashmir & neighborhood. Due to this it is projected that, light rainfall is likely over Western Himalayan Region during next 24 hours. Fresh Western Disturbance as a trough in westerlies is observed. Under its influence, light rainfall activity is likely over northwest India, along with thunderstorm, lightning & winds over the same region on 20th and 21st February. Dense fog to still prevail in isolated parts over Odisha. In Odisha,due to prevailing foggy weather late blight may occur in potato and tomato, to control spray Mancozeb 75% (Indofil M 45/ Dithane M 45) @ 2.5g/litre of water.
Dry weather conditions are expected in central parts of India. Day and night temperatures is expected to rise in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Isolated rain and thundershowers are possible in Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Bihar as well as Jharkhand on February 21 and 22. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, continue land preparation for sowing of summer vegetables like okra, pumpkin, cucumber and sponge gourd. In Bihar, if field of bengal gram is infested by cut worm then to control apply Chlorpyrifos 20 EC @ 2 ml/litre of water near root zone. In Jharkhand, continue transplanting of summer rice. Undertake sowing of summer moong bean and urd bean.
