Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan is observed due to this it is projected that isolated rainfall is likely over Western Himalayan Region. Moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi and scattered rainfall over Uttar Pradesh during 21st & 22nd Feb. In UP, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana and adjoining areas, keeping increasing temperature in view, farmers are advised for light irrigation in standing crops and vegetables as per requirement, start field’s preparation for sowing of early crop of lady finger- A-4, Parbani Kranti and Arka anamika cultivars. Insure optimum moisture for proper germination before sowing of crop. Seed rates should be 10-15 kilogram per acre. In present weather condition constant monitoring of the wheat crop against rust disease is advised. If symptoms of black, brown or yellow rust appears spraying of crops with Dithane M- 45 @ 2.5 grams per litre of water should be done.

Cyclonic circulation is still persistent over northeast which will cause rain in Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh. On February 21 and 22, scattered rain or thundershowers are possible in Tamil Nadu. Thereafter, the weather may go dry once again. In Arunachal Pradesh, to protect the potato from chilling injury apply light irrigation. Undertake harvesting of maize. Undertake sowing of Rajmah. In Tamil nadu, undertake harvesting of maize and sorghum.
