Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected over isolated parts of Northwest, South and East India

A cyclonic circulation is persisting over the southeast Arabian Sea. Under its influence, a low-pressure area will form by the morning of May 14, which is expected to concentrate into a depression over Lakshadweep and the adjoining area by May 15. It may further intensify into a cyclonic storm on May 16th. The cyclone will move in North North-West direction and may intensify further into a severe cyclone.

A western disturbance is over the western parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining parts of West Rajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation is over southeast Madhya Pradesh and the adjoining area. A north-south trough or wind discontinuity from the cyclonic circulation over southeast Madhya Pradesh is extending up to Kerala across Vidarbha, Marathwada, and interior Karnataka.

A cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining area, and a trough from this cyclonic circulation is extending up to sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. Another cyclonic circulation is over South Tamil Nadu. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and thundershowers with few heavy spells are expected in West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Bihar, parts of Chhattisgarh, Kerala, and Lakshadweep. During the next 24 hours, heavy to extremely heavy rain and thundershowers are expected to occur over Lakshadweep.

Light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over Kerala, south coast of Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha. Light to moderate rain with isolated intense spells are expected over the western Himalayas, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Konkan and Goa, parts of interior Karnataka, and isolated pockets of Telangana. Light rain and thundershowers are possible over Tamil Nadu, Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, and isolated pockets of Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain may over parts of North and East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Andaman and Nicobar Island.
