Moderate rain and thundershower activities over Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi

The cyclone Tauktae into a depression over South Rajasthan and the adjoining Gujarat region. It was about 60 km West south-west of Udaipur and 110 Kms East North-East of Deesa at 05:30 hours today May 19. It is expected to weaken further into a well-marked low-pressure area by today afternoon or evening and the remnants of the system will move in the North-East direction across Rajasthan to Western parts of Uttar Pradesh in the subsequent 24 hours. Western disturbances over Afghanistan and adjoining North Pakistan. A cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining area and other cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Uttar Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation is over the equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal. A low-pressure area is expected to form over East Central around May 23rd.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are expected over Uttarakhand, parts of Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, parts of North East Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Scattered light to moderate rain with one or two intense spells may occur over North East India, interior Karnataka, Telangana, interior Tamil Nadu, parts of Konkan and Goa, South Madhya Maharashtra, isolated pockets of Marathwada, southeast Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Lakshadweep, and isolated pockets of Bihar. Light rain over rest Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, parts of Gujarat region, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and isolated pockets of West Bengal.
