In the Kharif season 2021 in the state, the target is to sow kharif crops in 48 lakh 20 thousand hectare area. In which paddy in 36 lakh 95 thousand 420 hectares, other cereal crops in 3 lakh 60 thousand hectares and pulses in 3 lakh 76 thousand 670 hectares, oilseeds in 2 lakh 55 thousand 490 hectares and greens and vegetables in one lakh 32 thousand 340 hectares. The target of cultivation of other crops is fixed. So far, Kharif crops have been sown in 29 lakh 24 thousand 160 hectares against the set target.
