A depression over the southwest parts of the Southern Bay of Bengal will likely track west-north-westwards and approach the south Andhra Pradesh coast to Tamil Nadu - Puducherry coasts and then weaken to a well-marked low-pressure area around November 22. Thereafter, it will likely move west-north-westwards towards north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 3 days. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is likely over South peninsular India, especially over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, peaking on November 22-23. Further, a cyclonic circulation will likely form over the North Andaman Sea around Thursday and begin to affect Andaman & Nicobar Islands. During the next 24 hours, the depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal will continue its movement towards northwest direction and may get weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area by tomorrow morning November 22nd.
Sea conditions may become rough along Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coast on November 22 and 23rd. Light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and north coast of Tamil Nadu. Rain activities are expected to intensify over Andaman and Nicobar Islands from November 23rd. There may be light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells. Light rain is possible over Rayalaseema and South interior Karnataka. Day and night temperatures may drop further over Northwest, Central and parts of East India during next 2 to 3 days.
