Light isolated to scattered rainfall or snowfall may occur over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad

During the next 24 hours, isolated light rain and snow are possible Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh during next two to three days. Day and night temperature will increase over Northwest and Central parts of the country. A feeble Western Disturbance is seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies. Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation persists over Tripura, and its neighbourhood, extending up to 3.1 Kilometres above the mean sea level. Under their collective influence, light isolated to scattered rainfall or snowfall may occur over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad from February 15 to 19. Isolated rain or snow is also possible over Arunachal Pradesh on February 15 and 16.

Strong surface winds (speed 20-30 kmph) gusting to 40 kmph are possible over many parts of the North-western plains on February 15. As for the mercury levels, maximum temperatures are expected to stay within the range of 35-38°C over many parts of Konkan-Goa and northern parts of Coastal Karnataka during the next two days. At the same time, overnight minimums are forecast to rise gradually by 3-5°C over many parts of Northwest India during the next three days.
