Isolated rains are forecast over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur

During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain and snowfall are possible over Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain and snowfall may occur over Bhutan and Sikkim. Scattered rain may occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Meghalaya. Dense fog is possible over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan during next 24 hours. Day and night temperatures will remain significantly above normal over Northwest and Central parts of the country. A trough seen in the lower tropospheric levels is expected to produce light to moderate rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh and light isolated to scattered rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur during the next three days.

Meanwhile, a fresh western disturbance will likely affect Western Himalayan Region from February 25. Under its influence, light to moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall may occur over Jammu-Kashmir. Further, isolated thunderstorms are expected over Jammu-Kashmir from February 25-27 and over Himachal Pradesh on February 26. As for the mercury levels, overnight minimums will be higher than usual in much of the country, especially in North Peninsular India. At the same time, maximum temperatures are expected to stay 3-5°C above average over most parts of Northwest, West, Central and East India during the next five days.
