Desi Gram is expected to increase by 300-400 due to the buying of stockists

New crop of desi gram has arrived, but it is yet to come in Rajasthan. Before that, seeing the low productivity per hectare in the crop, all-round stockists came to buy, in view of this, there are chances of further increase of Rs 300-400 per quintal. This time the production of desi gram is expected to be low in all the producing states including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka. The main reason for this is that due to slow movement of gram throughout the year, the trend of farmers was more towards cultivation of Kabuli gram and Masoor instead. This is the reason that the sown area has decreased. On the other hand, per hectare productivity is also less. Along with low sowing in Maharashtra, the productivity has been low by 4-5 percent, the Indore-Bhopal-Sagar line of Madhya Pradesh is also reporting low yield, the yield is good in Gwalior, but there is less arrival due to less sowing there. Arrivals have decreased in Satna-Jabalpur line also, sowing is less in Rajasthan, but the crop which is visible in the fields, the grains are said to be good and the weather is also not bad, due to which the sown gram crop is good, but there also the sown area has decreased by 28-30 percent. Mustard cultivation has increased there and lentils have been cultivated by more farmers, looking at all these circumstances, it is estimated to decrease from 110 lakh metric tonnes to 70 lakh metric tonnes. The minimum support price has been kept by the government at Rs 5350 per quintal and it is estimated that the government will buy domestic gram from the farmers in the month of April.
