A western disturbance is seen in the middle and upper tropospheric levels, and its induced cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Rajasthan and its neighbourhood in the lower tropospheric levels. Another fresh western disturbance will likely affect the Western Himalayan Region from March 16, producing rain or snow at higher elevations over the Western Himalayan region during the next five days, particularly extending rainfall to Delhi and its adjoining areas from March 16. Meanwhile, due to the interaction between a middle tropospheric westerly trough running from Jharkhand to Telangana and the moist south-easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal, scattered to fairly widespread rain with thunderstorms or hail may impact East, Northeast, Central and South India. Scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms or hail may occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, North and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe.
