The sluggishness has started spreading in cumin even on the increased price. Due to reduced buying at increased prices, cumin seed softened by Rs. 100 to Rs. 30,900 per quintal here. In Unjha, about 45-46 thousand bags of cumin have been reported to have arrived and there has been a decline of Rs 25 per 20 kg. The active futures declined by Rs 205, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 31,685 due to reduced buying by speculators. Cumin is not expected to increase in spot in coming one or two days.
