Heavy Rains to Lash Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand
A monsoon trough is crossing Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and continues southeast to the West-Central Bay of Bengal, south of where it usually occurs. For the following five days, this is probably going to remain in place. • A cyclonic circulation is located over south Uttar Pradesh, and a low-pressure region connected to another cyclonic circulation is situated over the western-central Bay of Bengal, and this LPA is expected to intensify as it moves north-westward, towards Chhattisgarh and Odisha in 1-2 days. • As a result of this CC system, very heavy rainfall in isolated areas of Odisha and Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada is possible in coming 2-3 days. Farmers are advised to carry Inter culture operations followed by top dressing of nitrogen fertilizers in Sugarcane fields. • In case of Sheath Blight infested plants in Maize, uproot and destroy them and spray carbondizm + Mancozeb 1000 gm/ha. • In addition, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Uttarakhand, southwest Uttar southeast, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Telangana in next 3-4 days. • Similar circumstances are predicted over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. • Moist westerly winds from the Arabian Sea causing isolated rainfall over Mumbai city and Gujarat region and will continue its effect for at least the next five days.
