Wheat - Not enough stock
The markets are continuously increasing due to wheat supply not matching the milling capacity. In the last two days, the price of wheat has jumped from Rs 2570 to Rs 2600 per quintal. The reality is that wheat availability in the central pool is not commensurate with consumption. On the other hand, the wheat stock lying there is in the hands of big companies. There is no wheat stock in the small markets of the private sector. Therefore, either big companies should sell wheat or the government will have to increase the weekly tender from 5000 metric tons to 10,000 metric tons.
