Strong northeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal and a cyclonic circulation moving westward over Tamil Nadu will produce heavy to very heavy rain across southern portions of South India for coming 3-4 days. Continuous rainfall in Tamil Nadu can leach nutrients from the soil of Rice field. Framers are advised to Adjust the fertilizer application based on moisture availability and Rainfall can encourage weed growth in paddy fields, so provide proper drainage facilities and use appropriate herbicides or manual weeding after the rainfall. A western disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan Region in coming 3-4 days.
