Due to fresh Western Disturbance, in next 5-6 days chances of light to moderate rainfall/snowfall is possible over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and over Uttarakhand. Its effect can also be seen in the plains causing Light rainfall over adjoining northwestern plains of Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Under the influence of an anticyclone over the north Bay of Bengal, moisture is penetrating east-central and East India from the Bay of Bengal. This will result in light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim for 1-2 days and will gradually decrease. Dense fog is possible across the northern plains for several days, and Bihar and Odisha during next 2 days.
