Mustard: Arrival of new mustard starts in the markets

Local demand for new mustard is good. But demand from the plant is weak. Due to the quality of new mustard not being suitable for crushing, the demand for old mustard is high in mills. The arrival of dry and good quality goods will increase in the coming month. NAFED is reported to start procurement of mustard from March 10-15. Due to weak demand in oils, the price of raw ghani came down to Rs 991 per 10 kg. Much further decline in prices is not expected. The price is expected to remain almost stable. This year, mustard has been sown in good quantity in the producing states. The arrival of new crops has started in some areas of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. The area is expected to increase by about 10 percent this year as compared to last year. Till now the condition of the crops is good, due to which there will be arrival of good quality mustard. The moisture content of new mustard is about 10~15 percent. In the coming days, arrival of dry quality mustard with low moisture will start.
