A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayan Region within 24 hours. This disturbance may cause light to moderate rainfall or snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and isolated rainfall or snowfall over Uttarakhand during next 3 days. The current western disturbance is not much strong hence it will not affect the plains of Northern Region. In coming 4- 5 days, there is no likely weather activity over Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh etc. In addition, a cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam. Due to this and the eastward movement of the present Western Disturbance, scattered rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh during the next 2-3 days. Furthermore, temperatures in daytime are very likely to run below seasonal average over Northern half of India for the next several days, especially, 8°C colder than normal in some areas of North and Central India through Wednesday. Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Kerala during the next 2 days.
