Currently a trough is passing from South Interior Karnataka to west Vidarbha and another trough from Jharkhand to south Assam. Also, an anti-cyclonic circulation is moving along the Odisha coast. Due to this ongoing weather activities, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is possible across Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh including Yanam, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Bihar during next 24-48 hours. Heavy rainfall is possible over Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh in during next 24 hours. Meanwhile, a fresh western disturbance, is likely to affect the Western Himalayan within 2-3 days, which will result in light rainfall/snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from March 21-24. The maximum temperature will gradually rise by 2-4°C over Northwest and West India during the next 4-5 days. On the other side, there will be a fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over East India during the next 24 hours. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected during the next 24 hours over Central India. Heat wave conditions are expected in isolated pockets over Saurashtra-Kutch during next 3 days.
