A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to come over the Himalayas and due to this, an induced cyclonic circulation will be present over Pakistan and Rajasthan, that will bring rain over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan in coming 3-4 days. The upcoming rains are good for the farmers field as currently the crops have been harvested and the rains will increase the soil moisture of the fields and thus this rain is good for the upcoming season crops. Light to moderate rainfall/snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds (30-40 kmph) and hailstorms will impact Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand after 1-2 days Further, a cyclonic circulation, situated over the Gulf of Mannar will produce scattered light/moderate rainfall over Kerala-Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry-Karaikal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep from April 18 and will last for next 4-5 days. Heat wave conditions are expected in isolated pockets of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during next 3-4 days. Andhra’s Kurnool, Nellore, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Amravati districts are expected to witness temperatures ranging from 40-43°C this week.
