A western disturbance is arriving over the mountains within 24 hours. The system will have mild circulation over North Rajasthan and Punjab. An east-west trough, in the proximity of Delhi, is quite likely to form. Light rain and showers are likely to occur in upcoming 2-3 days, over some parts of Delhi/NCR. A drop in temperature by about 3�C can be expected for this duration. Light to moderate rainfall over the plains of Northwest India is possible from next 2-3 days. Dust storms are very likely over Rajasthan and are in the grip of severe heat from last one week. Strong surface winds (30-40 km/h) are also likely over Gujarat State for next 2-3 days. A cyclonic circulation is present over northeast Assam and its surrounding areas. As a result, light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 km/h), is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next 7 days. The passage of cyclone �Remal� across Bangladesh has set the pace of monsoon air mass over the Bay of Bengal.
