Wheat supply reduced in mandis
The government is buying wheat, but due to the lack of supply in the producing mandis, the purchase target has been left behind. Currently, traders in the private sector are buying at high prices, due to which the purchase of wheat for the central pool is likely to reach hardly 267 lakh metric tonnes. Traders have held back goods in the producing mandis. On the other hand, seeing the previous rise, farmers have also held back goods, due to which there is no scope for recession right now and further rise or fall will depend on the sale by the government. Therefore, wheat should be sold wherever profit is available.
