Heavy Rainfall Expected Over Rajasthan

A cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan, extending up to middle tropospheric levels, has led to heavy rainfall in East Rajasthan and nearby areas. A trough extending from this system to Bangladesh at lower tropospheric levels is also contributing to the rainfall pattern. Light to moderate rainfall is expected over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh due to the prevailing weather conditions. Another cyclonic circulation at lower tropospheric levels over southeast Pakistan and adjacent Rajasthan is influencing the weather, leading to significant rainfall activity in these areas. A cyclonic circulation over Gujarat and its neighboring regions at middle tropospheric levels is likely to cause heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh over the next 2-3 days. Northeast Assam and surrounding areas are under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, leading to moderate rainfall. Some areas may experience localized heavy downpours. Heavy rainfall also very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karnataka during next 2-3 days. A cyclonic circulation over south Sri Lanka and nearby areas is also contributing to the heavy rainfall in these regions, affecting weather patterns in southern India.
