Rains to Lash Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Karnataka

Conditions are becoming favourable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from parts of West Rajasthan and Kachchh by today. A cyclonic wind area will start forming in the Bay of Bengal from tomorrow, which will become active in the coming days and move towards the southern areas of Gujarat via Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra. On 26th September, an active western disturbance is coming towards North India. Due to its effect, light rain activities along with thunderstorms can be seen in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan between 27th and 29th September. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over South Madhya Pradesh, southeast Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, coastal Karnataka, and South Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Gangetic West Bengal. Light to moderate rain is possible over Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Jharkhand, Odisha, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Moderate to heavy rainfall very likely over Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh in next 2-3 days.
