Bajra Report
Arrival in Mandis The new millet crop has started arriving in the border mandis of Western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana. As a result, millet prices dropped by ₹40-50 per quintal last week, settling at ₹2450-2500 per quintal in Haryana and Punjab. Crop Condition According to information from Prayagraj, damage has occurred to the upcoming millet crop due to an infestation of a certain type of pest. Consequently, there is little room for a decline in current prices. Future Prospects There is potential for a price increase again, and it would not be advisable to engage in heavy selling for the new crop. The likelihood of a decrease in millet demand is low, and stability may persist in the market. Traders should remain cautious considering the condition of the new crop.
