Heavy Rains Set to Hit Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Coastal Karnataka.
The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over east Afghanistan. The low pressure area over eastcentral and adjoining Lakshadweep and southeast Arabian Sea with the associated cyclonic circulation. It is likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over central Arabian Sea during next 3-4 days. A cyclonic circulation lies over east Assam & neighbourhood, light to moderate rain may occur over northeast India, while heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya. Another cyclonic circulation lies over Sri Lanka & neighbourhood in lower & middle tropospheric levels. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rain may occur over Jharkhand, and West Bengal, while light rain is possible over Bihar. Light to moderate rain is possible over the south Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Moderate rainfall may occur over Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, south Madhya Pradesh, while Odisha will experience light rainfall.
