Odisha and West Bengal Under Threat from Heavy Rainfall.
Cyclonic Storm "Dana" has formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal after intensifying from a deep depression. It is moving west-northwestward and is expected to strengthen into a severe cyclonic storm over northwest Bay of Bengal by tomorrow early morning and cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island during tomorrow night or next morning. Heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected along the coastal areas of Odisha, West Bengal, and Bangladesh starting tomorrow morning. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Eastcentral Arabian Sea off Karnataka coast. Light rain is possible over North Maharashtra, southeast Rajasthan, and South Gujarat. Light to moderate rainfall at most places is likely over south Jharkhand. Isolated light to moderate rainfall very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and Kerala. Light rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
