Heavy Downpour Alert Issued for Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
Cyclone Dana has made landfall near Bhitarkanika and Dhamra on the northern Odisha coast as a Severe Cyclonic Storm. The system is expected to move west-northwestward, gradually weakening into a Cyclonic Storm by noon and further into a Deep Depression as it progresses inland over Odisha. Northern Odisha and southern West Bengal are forecasted to receive heavy rainfall within 24 hours. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and South Karnataka. Light to moderate rain may occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and South Assam, while East Bihar and East Jharkhand may experience light rainfall. The weather will remain clear in all the states of North India, this storm will not affect anywhere in North India. The next rainy season in North India may come around 5th of Nov due to the arrival of Western Disturbance.
