Rice Report
The rice market is experiencing increased pressure from new arrivals, leading to a decline in paddy prices. Supply from the Kharif season is rising in Haryana and Punjab, causing prices to drop significantly. In Haryana, paddy that was selling for ₹2950-3100 just a few days ago has now fallen to ₹2650-2750. In Punjab, prices are currently ranging from ₹2750-2800 for the 1509 variety. In the Narela market, the arrival of paddy has reached 50-55 thousand bags, contributing to a decrease in rice prices as well. The prices of various types of rice have dropped by ₹50-75 per quintal. Given the increasing pressure from Kharif paddy, it is likely that prices will continue to fall. However, this could be a beneficial period for rice mills and traders, as they can stock up at lower prices.
