The cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal extending. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 36 hours. It is likely to move nearly westwards towards Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coasts during subsequent two days. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Light rain may occur over coastal Karnataka, South Andhra Pradesh and South interior Karnataka. Other areas are expected to remain generally dry, however snowfall is expected to increase in western Ladakh over the weekend.
