Fresh Western Disturbance to Impact Western Himalayan Region.

The low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal moved nearly westwards and now lies over southwest Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu & adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts. This system will bring heavy rain across South India throughout this period. Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu may receive light to moderate rains, while Coastal areas of South Andhra Pradesh and Kerala are likely to receive light rains. Additionally, a fresh Western Disturbance will impact the Western Himalayan region from next 2 days. Light rain and snowfall is possible over high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Dense fog is likely in isolated areas across North and Central India for several days. Dry conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the country. During this period, maximum temperatures are expected to remain above normal across much of India, while minimum temperatures will range from above to well above normal.
