Weather Update 14 November
The low-pressure area off the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh coast has weakened, but a cyclonic circulation persists, likely bringing widespread rain to the southern peninsula through the weekend, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over South Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and coastal Karnataka. Isolated light rain may occur over coastal Odisha, Sikkim and northeast India. A fresh western disturbance is expected to impact western Ladakh and northern Jammu and Kashmir from tomorrow, bringing light to moderate rain and snow across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain near normal across most of the country, except in Punjab, where they may be slightly below average. Overnight minimums are likely to be at or above normal nationwide, with foggy conditions expected in Northern India during morning hours.
